With Sabio growing strongly, expanding operations and continuing to invest in our Support business,
it's really important that the company puts the latest communications and collaboration technologies in place to support how we work together as a business and improve how we engage with customers and partners.
That's why at Sabio we've recently invested in Avaya's best practice Scopia® Video Conferencing Infrastructure solution – helping to improve intra-company communication between our expanding London and Glasgow sites, as well as providing an enhanced channel for interacting with customers and partners beyond our physical offices.
With the latest Avaya Scopia technology in place, we've now got a simple yet powerful video conferencing platform at the heart of the Sabio business - one that makes it easy for people to join video calls, take full advantage of advanced UC collaboration features, and also unlock a range of operational benefits thanks to the solution's telepresence capabilities. The result is that it's going to be much easier to bring together geo-disparate and virtual teams, schedule meetings more quickly, and support improved engagement.
As part of our deployment, we've now deployed some 160 channels of concurrent videochat capability, with face-to-face video conferencing supported by four dedicated rooms in our Hatfields London office and two in the company's Support Centre operation in Glasgow. This infrastructure will mean that not only can we deploy video more easily within our own business, but also ensure that we're well placed to support our customers with the introduction of their own video solutions.
Having the Scopia video platform will also be helpful in enhancing our broader customer support offer, particularly as it will give us a powerful test bed to trial next generation customer engagement solutions. That's especially important as our customers look to take advantage of exciting infrastructure innovations - such as WebRTC with its extensive video capabilities.
