Sabio to support the 60 pledge lines at Merchants Limited's contact centre in Milton Keynes
London – 8 March 2005 - Sabio, the innovative contact centre services company, has announced that six of its personnel including three of its senior management, will join the team at Merchants contact centre in Milton Keynes in answering pledge line calls on Red Nose Day for Comic Relief, March 11th. Merchants is providing 60 pledge lines, and the back office processing to deal with these pledges, which will be fully technically supported by Sabio, during Red Nose Day.
Sabio's Managing Director, Seb Henkes, will join Finance Director, Robert Prosser and Services Manager, Paul Moore and three other Sabio employees to help the Merchants contact centre team, friends and family answer the calls. “We all really wanted to join Merchants in doing our bit for charity” commented Managing Director of Sabio, Seb Henkes. "Comic Relief is a fantastic charity that does so much to help underprivileged people both in the UK and Africa and we all wanted to play a part. We’re pleased to have the opportunity to support the charity as well as support Merchants."
Sabio provides Merchants with a managed service and IT consultancy for its contact centre operation. As well as supplying the IT support for the evening and six contact centre agents, Sabio is donating towards the cost of a minibus to provide transport home for volunteers and spot prizes for competitions on the evening.
When Red Nose Day was last held in March 2003 it raised £61,477,539 – more than £1 for every man, woman and child in the UK – and it is aiming to raise a record amount for 2005. The money donated to Comic Relief goes to support hundreds of projects, which help poor and disadvantaged people in the UK and in Africa.
