Sabio appoints Chris D’Cruz to head its Convergence Consultancy Practice

Joins from senior consultancy role at Datapoint to help develop Sabio’s rapidly expanding Convergence Practice

LONDON – 12 January, 2005 – Sabio, the innovative contact centre consultancy and services company, has appointed senior industry professional Chris D’Cruz to head up its fast-growing Convergence Practice. The Practice focuses on helping companies maximise the performance of their contact centre through consultancy and the strategic implementation of contact centre systems and applications. Chris D’Cruz brings over 20 years’ experience within the communications industry, and has worked in a number of senior consultancy roles with organisations including Datapoint, Genesis Telecom and Siemens Communications.

As leader of Sabio’s Convergence Practice, Chris D’Cruz will focus on developing Sabio’s consultancy and solutions for converged voice and data, particularly for contact centres in the Banking & Finance, Utilities and Telecommunications, Media, Travel and Leisure sectors. Chris D’Cruz brings extensive convergence skills to Sabio combined with comprehensive knowledge of the Avaya product set, and will play a key role in developing the company’s comprehensive, end-to-end convergence solutions proposition. He joins from Datapoint, where he spent two years as a senior consultant working on Avaya call centre solutions and also as a specialist pre-sales consultant.

“Convergence is clearly going to be a key driver for organisations as they look to leverage the benefits of IP communications within their businesses. We’re finding that as more and more organisations start to integrate their IP ACD infrastructure with more advanced WAN-based solutions, there is now the possibility for them to take advantage of reduced risk solutions. These include single, virtual contact centres that are much easier to manage, remote labour resources that are easier to tap into, the flexibility of smaller distributed centres, and the provision of a sustainable Quality of Service for broadband and IP networks,” comments Sabio’s Consultancy Director, Kenneth Hitchen. “Sabio has already had significant success in this area, providing recommendations to organisations such as Yorkshire Building Society, Peabody Trust, ISA Trading and Havebury Housing, and we look forward to developing our Convergence Practice under Chris D’Cruz’s leadership.”

“A key Sabio strength is its deep convergence expertise. As a consultancy which covers services, solutions and implementation, I’m looking forward to helping the company develop its business in this key area – particularly as organisations look beyond initial cost savings to explore ways in which converged IP-based networks can really change the way they do business,” added Chris D’Cruz. “Sabio’s combination of consultancy-led solutions and a true, vendor-independent focus provides customers with exactly the balance they need when they’re considering the impact of convergence on their business operations.”

Earlier in his career, Chris D'Cruz spent seven years with Genesis Telecoms, where he helped set up the company’s pre-sales operation. Before that he worked with Siemens Communications for almost five years. He began his career as an apprentice with BT.
